Dwarf, spreading or erect, densely branched shrub with

narrow, evergreen, compound leaves.

Clusters of showy, bright yellow flowers, mostly in winter,

but intermittently year-round are followed by flat brown seed pods.

Excellent nectar plant and larval host plant for the

Orange-Barred, Sleepy Orange & Cloudless Sulphur butterflies.
