BIRD PEPPER

Small, woody, densely-branched perennial, as wide as it is tall,

with small, evergreen leaves.  Tiny, white, star-shaped flowers are

 followed by tiny, hot chili peppers, turning from dark green to red when ripe.

The year-round fruits are edible and attract birds.
