Fair salt tolerance and excellent drought tolerance,

Although prefers moist, rich, well-drained soil

 Zones 6 to 9

Vigorous, high-climbing, woody vine, attaching by tendrils;

with glossy, evergreen leaves and

clusters of large, showy, trumpet-shaped,

red flowers primarily in spring, but throughout the year. 

Attracts hummingbirds.
