Small tree with large, coarse, heart-shaped leaves;

clusters of showy tubular orange flowers, most of the year;

followed by white, egg-shaped fruits.

Susceptible to Geiger beetles, which can chew the leaves.

The beetles are colorful and do not harm the plant.

Attract hummingbirds.
