Small symmetrical tree with a dense, narrowly rounded crown,

attractive, peeling bark and evergreen, leathery, oval leaves.

Pendulous clusters of tiny white flowers in summer are followed by

small dark purple berries, on female plants, which attract wildlife.

Excellent for small yards and narrow spaces between houses.
