Fast rate of growth

Light shade to full sun

Excellent salt and drought tolerance,

although prefers moist, sandy soil.

 Zones 8B to 11

 

A smaller-leaved form of Florida privet;

a dense, fine-textured, tidy shrub with

semi-deciduous, small shiny green leaves.

Tiny yellow flowers in spring are followed by round, black fruits on female plants.

Tolerates pruning as a hedge.

Attracts songbirds and provides excellent wildlife habitat.
