Excellent salt and drought tolerance

Prefers moist soil but will adapt to dry sites

Multi-stemmed shrub with evergreen, grayish-green leaves.

Profuse clusters of tiny, white, conspicuous flowers in fall are followed by

 showy, cottony masses of  seeds on female plants.

Excellent for natural settings in coastal areas.

Attracts birds and butterflies.
