Prefers moist soil and may wilt during dry spells

Multi-stemmed, small, woody shrub, half as wide as tall, with

evergreen, velvety, dark blue-green leaves.

Clusters of white flowers in spring and summer are

 followed by red to black berries.

Excellent wildlife attractor.
